Creatine

Creatine  is a naturally occurring  non-protein amino acid compound  and is found mainly in skeletal muscle (approx. 95%), and the remaining amounts in the brain and testes (approx. 5%). About two-thirds of intramuscular creatine is  phosphocreatine , the remainder is  free creatine . Phosphocreatine supports the  synthesis and maintenance of ATP availability , especially during exercise.
