Creatine

Creatine  is a naturally occurring  non-protein amino acid compound  and is found mainly in skeletal muscle (approx. 95%), and the remaining amounts in the brain and testes (approx. 5%). About two-thirds of intramuscular creatine is  phosphocreatine , the remainder is  free creatine . Phosphocreatine supports the  synthesis and maintenance of ATP availability , especially during exercise. Use of creatine increases physical performance  in the case of consecutive short, very intense physical exercises. The beneficial effect occurs when consuming 3 g of creatine per day. This applies to adults doing high-intensity exercise.

Arginine

Arginine  is classified as a  conditionally essential amino acid . One of the main functions of arginine is its  participation in protein synthesis . It also plays other roles in the body, e.g. it affects the  detoxification of ammonia  formed during the catabolism of amino acids through the formation of  urea  and has the ability to  convert into glucose .

Belongs to the conditionally essential amino acids, glutamine accounts for two-thirds of all free amino acids in muscles, and  muscle tissue accounts for 70% of its synthesis . There is a relationship between the amount of free glutamine and the possibility of protein synthesis. So the human body uses glutamine as an  oxidizable fuel , a substrate for the synthesis of nucleotides, a modulator of indirect amino acid metabolism.

Citrulline

L-citrulline  is an amino acid that is a precursor to L-arginine and contributes to the  production of nitric oxide . L-citrulline increases L-arginine and nitric oxide plasma levels more effectively than the equivalent amount of L-arginine. So the importance of L-citrulline for ergogenic support is based on the fact that it is a way to  increase the extracellular level of L-arginine . This, in turn, is associated with better availability of nitric oxide, which is a potential modulator of blood flow, muscle energy metabolism, and mitochondrial breathing during exercise.
